Reasons for Emergency Home Plumbing

There are many emergencies that may pop up in daily life, and plumbing emergencies can be some of the toughest to deal with. They can hit at any time – they don’t care if you’re asleep or out of the house. Their consequences can often be incredibly costly and time-consuming.

At iRepair Plumbing, Heating & Air, we’ve seen the full gamut of emergency plumbing repair issues. Our team is on call at all hours to help you with any plumbing jams you find yourself in. What are some of the most common emergency plumbing issues we deal with? Let’s run through a few.

Clogs

The pipes running from your major water areas in the home – sinks, toilets and shower drains – are some of the most common causes of major issues requiring a plumber’s care. In some cases, these clogs will be minor and can be removed on your own using a plunger or a drain-cleaning liquid. In others, though, they’re indicators of serious blockages in your sewage system, and could be incredibly costly.

Leaks

These same areas can also leak, as can laundry and other water sources. Once again, there are occasions where this won’t be a big deal and can be solved by a quick fix. But again, there are also cases where this could be very costly – water damage from a consistent leak can cause a ton of issues, and a small leak can quickly become a larger one.

Water Heater

Especially around this cold time of year, hot water heaters can be a major source of inconvenience and can even cause emergency issues. Severe leaks or damage that cause hot water to stop flowing to the home can be a big and immediate problem. It’s recommended that you take care to schedule regular maintenance checks for your hot water heater to avoid this issue, and we’re happy to perform these at iRepair.

Broken Water Lines

The sewage in your house can be a big problem if things go wrong, but underground water lines can be an even bigger one. Damaged water lines may impact everything from your sewage to your yard – lines commonly cross tree roots and can be very difficult to work on if they clog or sustain other damage. Plus, these situations can damage your lawn in many cases if they’re left unresolved.

At iRepair Plumbing, Heating & Air, we’re here to provide any and all plumbing repair needs, including emergency services. Our experts are standing by to assist you.
